Corridor Communications Inc. (trade name: CCI Wireless) is a product of exceptional vision of nine founding partners. These partners are gas co-operatives which 30 years ago came together to offer a basic utility service to underserved Rural Albertans. This same spirit exists today for the delivery of another utility - broadband internet - with the goal of eliminating the digital divide for its members & all of rural Albertans who struggle with poor or no broadband services. CCI Wireless' support has exploded since its formation 2 years ago with support from several rural organizations and Gas Co-ops. Through this grass-roots support and ability to leverage the Gas Co-op's storefront and field support team, we are able to respond quickly to service issues.
Advantage Two: Our Choice of Technology
CCI has deployed WiMAX 802.16e licensed spectrum for its network to provide a carrier-grade broadband access to Rural Alberta. The network not only offers broadband services of up to 6 Mbps but also primary phone line services, Automatic Meter Reading and other feature-rich applications and services putting rural customers at par with urban areas.
